Bob Dylan – Highway 61 Revisited

Great album, no other pressings to compare it to but it sounds great to my ears. Clean, vibrant, good separation. No complaints here.

Some surface noise and a little harsh treble but still very great

Best way to hear this classic album, digital or vinyl.

This sounds great!! I think with the 1A / 1A and being Columbia this was pressed in Canada with parts the likely got from US Pitman. Very clear and strong with very adequate punch just like my 1st Pitman. A good one to have!

File me under underwhelmed by the sound on this pressing. Rather thin, and heavy on the treble.

1st US 1A/1A mono Pitman version has excellent rich and detailed sonics pressed on quiet vinyl without pressing flaws.. Mono soundstage is deep with ample bass and crisp highs. I grew up as teenage astereophile in the 60's but this mono version has more punch without losing any instrumental definition. I am a now a convert to mono for Beatles, Stones, and Dylan LPs from the early and mid 60's. Better late than never.

Found one in a charity shop last week in good condition for 50 cents sounds great :D

Looking at purchasing Highway 61 Revisited in vinyl.
Would like to get as close to original as possible.
Was the first release in mono or stereo?
What was the original pressing plant(s).
Or are there releases, reissues that are highly recommend?

I haven't heard an original copy of this one for years! I think this is a great press re-press, older listening ears and all. Very vivid sound field.
