All 4 discs in my copy have so much surface noise that they’re not even enjoyable to listen to, even after multiple wet cleanings. Great show, but I don’t like that Snap, Crackle, and Pop are uninvited guests. It’s worse than that time Kid Rock came out with Phish and refused to leave for half the second set.
-
Great sound and clean pressing. The Peggy-O/Music Never Stopped side is everything you need to know about the GD! Also, the insane St. Stephen, Sugaree, and stand alone Estimated. I have this show on cd and the vinyl pressing adds substantially more depth and dynamics to the recording.

AMAZING show. Possibly the most laid-back playing I've ever heard from the band. So chill!
Sadly, my copy has a patch of gnarly audible scratches across all of LL Rain, and LP #3 is so dish warped I could eat a bowl of cereal out of it. I've had seriously rotten luck with every Dead box set I've purchased. It's usually a warped LP. Bummer! Thankfully I've arranged for a replacement. Fingers crossed it's better, because this show is a KEEPER. -

Amazingly great show, recording and pressing. I got completely lost in Lazy Lightning > Supplication. One of the best versions I’ve heard, with beautiful imaging and separation of the instruments.

Edited 5 months agoSounds really really good - like bringing the past to life. Thanks GD family for this release. Finally I can “Get Shown The Light” on vinyl. Cornell, Buffalo, and Boston Garden are all great shows too so its awesome to complete the set. This is now reminiscent of the 4 shows in the Lyceum box set. 72 and 77 were captured well but we need more 89 and 90 full shows!

Edited 5 months agoSounds so great! Along with the Boston and Cornell shows, New Haven sets the table for an amazing run thru New England that shows why the Spring 1977 tour is so revered. Flat clean and amazing sonics. High recommend!
