Grateful Dead* – Boston Garden 5.7.77

Bought my copy off eBay “new” hoping to get lucky. Cleaned and de-static’d the records. Lots of pops initially… wasn’t hopeful. Ran each record through my Humminguru cleaner for 4 cycles. Noticeable improvement. Were the records really this dirty - not sure. Concert is great - good mix of songs. Peggy-O is memorable. New Haven is coming next RSD (Black Friday). Gonna get it to complete the Get Shown the Light set.

My copy was flawless, thankfully everything was in order, as it always has the chance not to with sets like these. Mixing is real nice and clear. An excellent show to listen to and appreciate, and in a very good format.

Guess I got lucky because mine is flawless in every way. I’m not a completist with Dead shows. No way I could afford it with this vinyl but this one is worth every cent. Used to have it on tape back in the day of tape trading and it was always one of favorites. The Peggy-O gives me chills every time even to this day. These 77 shows are special. This one ranks right up there with Cornell in my book.

My copy was plagued with issues also, and rhino was unable to send me any replacement discs after about 5 months of extremely slow emails. Scratches with repeating pops, non fill. Most discs are defective in some way, but discs 4 and 5 are the worst and turned this into a bit of a dud purchase. The mastering is great as always, but very disappointing.

I’ve see so many pressing quality issues that you’re better off buying a used/opened copy to make sure you know what you’re getting. Learned the hard way - mine has a huge paper inclusion rendering one side useless.

Just received my copy last week, but didn't get to listen to it until the last couple nights d/t being out of town this past weekend. AWESOME show... unfortunately my box is missing vinyl #5 (sides 9 & 10) 😢 any suggestions?

Best Mississippi Half Step ever? No? Well it's my favorite. Also an INCREDIBLY energetic Jack Straw. My copy is pristine and I like the mastering, very happy with this one.

my copy was very good. 5 lps, 10 sides. not all top shelf sound, especially on the vocals. the instruments were more consistent and pretty solid. i would recommend this without hesitation. thanks.

What's with all of these selling for crazy low prices? I'm confused.
