Contrary to the artwork, the Peppermint Lounge show is sequentially before the Hurrah's one (reflected in this submission) in of DVD Title and Chapter layout. DVD-10 is a brief splash screen intro to the Hurrah's show with no music. 'Denial' appears on artwork, under Hurrah's NY, 1980 but does not feature on the menu or audio/visual content. 'Denial' was not played at the Hurrah's show, so this is simply a misprint on the tracklisting and not an omission of content.

Don't feed the greedy scalpers! This is still available brand new from the usual on-line stores (the 'River' etc) for £90 along with excellent return policies.
-
Absolutely awful mastering on this version compared to the original pressing. For starters it's about 2db quieter, and sounds nowhere near as full. And the actual vinyl usage on this pressing is about 2 inches short of the original, which may explain the sound.
So if you're looking for a great pressing to replace your old much loved one (like I was), then this isn't the one for you. Track down an original one instead, or at least one from the early 80's (my mate has a repress from around 1983/84 and it's as good as the original).
But saying that, the rest of the box-set is absolutely stunning. -
Can anyone comment on the vinyl re-issue/master vs an original press? I have an original--happy with it--and the Movement Collectors' Edition CD from around 2009. Not sure if I need this set.
-
A pricey but overall wonderful set. You can tell lots of care went into this. Nice sturdy box, beautiful hardcover book, LP itself is a great pressing with quiet and very full sounding playback, DVD is simple but has lots of great footage. I will say, the below makes a great point involving the Demo Tracks. This could have been a magnificent 4xLP 1DVD set and then the price really would of been worth it. Bit of a missed opportunity. Looking forward to the next set though.
Overall, a highly recommended box for the New Order (or Joy Divison) lovers out there. Will look great on the shelf. -
