Used to have a very first vinyl pressing on Grapevine ( UK ). Got to see & hear Emmylou with Daniel Lanois in Amsterdam's RAI
& got them to sign it .
Sold to a very nice person from Spain who gave it as a presen to his girlfriend ( that's the only one reason I sold it to him ).
And now I am a proud owner of 3 lp set , which is GREAT . -
The more I think about it the more I think I got a bad copy. It gets stuck on the final track on my two record players. First song skips a lot.
-
Edited 2 years agoHave had mine for a few years... just love it... full of sound, dynamic, bass and drums thump...
-
My copy's a very poor pressing. Distortion in the left channel throughout. Hi-res digital version wipes the floor with it in of dynamics.
-
Good sound but I had two or three skips on two different turntables. One of them on the first track. The vinyl looks flawless, no scratches. I reckon a pressing issue? Anyone else encounter this?
-
Edited 6 years agoFuzzy vocals (and fuzzy harmonica on "Sweet Old World"), although the instrumentals are warm and expansive throughout. This pressing captivates the mood and sentiment of the original work. Great slam and transparent highs; cymbals are especially nice. There are occasional pops on the new vinyl and the discs are slightly warped. The sibilance is distracting at times. Remastered for digital, not vinyl, but a solid attempt and still enjoyable. B-

It sounds better then 1st pressing. I know what I'm saying because I had a 1st pressing.
It sounded great, but this one beats it hand down - easily ! -
-
Don't know if it's only my copy but it doesn't sounds very well. It sounds too distorted from outer to inner. Pretty disappointing.
