Totally agree with reviews of this being a solid pressing. After an Ultrasonic clean <although they were surface clean and in polylined sleeves> I had nonsurface noise. Nice fidelities and mids . I ever had another copy but quite happy with this box.

I ditched my US pressing of the album for this box set. It's a good (not the "best") mix. Excellent pressing; the Germans press awesome Beatles records. Way better than anything coming out of the US, Canada, or Czech. Decent mix + clean press makes for a great product. The discontent towards this box set is unwarranted, and I suspect it's the end 's fault. Mixes are of much better quality than the 2017 Sgt. Pepper as well. I was not particularly fond of the work on that album, but the modern take is solid here. The Esher Demos are also much cleaner than any copy I have had prior.

Picked myself up a near-perfect UK 1st press a year or so ago and I can't say that I really prefer it over this outstanding Miles Showell cut from DSD, pressed by Optimal. I really enjoy the more modern Abbey Road output.

I cannot understand the negative reviews, regarding to the mastering/mixing? I own a fairly good stereo set-up, being able to listen into the recordings. Imo, this release sounds better, than my older pressings (2.3.), when talking about the overall low freq. and this time, without any boom effect in the lower regions. I´m pleased with this issue, and the Esher recordings, is a great thing to also have.

I haven’t played these since probably 2018 or early 2019, but listening to this, the amount of noise on these records almost overpower some of the songs, and the amount of skips on this album are almost as bad as the beat-to-shit first pressing I have of the first KISS album. Pretty unbearable, but I have an early 90s CD press, the 2009 stereo CD and a mid-80s cassette, so I have other copies to listen to if needed.
Edit: aside from all of that though, I will say that the mix itself isn’t that bad. Definitely a clear master. -
The Esher demos are an inessential but enjoyable, lightweight listen. Some cool songs on Side 4 that didn't make it to the final cut, such as Not Guilty and Junk.
The remix itself is fantastic. While not always an outright improvement, some of it certainly is. For better and worse, it's a more consistent listen sonically. Some of the tracks on Side 1 are demo worthy. -
Is there some other vinyl edition with all the Esher Demos? This one sucks, best of those recordings is not present here; Helter Skelter first two versions, Lady Madonna, Hey Jude… why do they even bother?

This is a completely new sounding record when compared to the first UK pressing , which I don’t own but heard. The OG is more punchier on the guitars and it’s agressive, this one feels modern with more bass, emphasis on the drums and not as scratchier vocals.
Amazing mix and pressing, dead quiet with a beautiful black inner sleeve. Definitely something to have in your collection. -

I have only ever heard the CD, so I can’t compare to the OG UK. But this pressing is magnificent. I have OG UK pressings of the 70s Floyd run, but I definitely don’t feel the need to do the same for the late 60s Beatles because these remasters are just exquisite. Of course, I’d be curious to hear them one day, but I feel like there’s an 80% chance I’d be disappointed by surface noise or some other defect and pine for this perfect reissue.
