Easily one of the best pressings in my collection. Excellent noise floor. The music explodes at you and has zero surface noise. This record makes the cd (which is excellent) sound sub-par. Listening to this pressing is like listening to it for the first time. I am using a Technics SL-D1, Audio Technica VM95EN, Sansui 9090 and technics sb speakers and fisher ST 830's. What a banger of an album. The extra songs are icing on the cake. 3 discs of amazing Tom Petty for a good price. Pressed at Record Industry 🤣 it is sooo perfect.

Believe the hype on this edition. Great pressing of a great Lacquer of a great master of a great album. $13 per disc?! Thank you Tom Petty.

This 'Made in Netherlands' pressing is perfect. Flat and quiet.
Sound is fantastic.
This is the first new pressing I've had in a long time that is completely flat and without noise!
Thank you! -
Edited 5 months agoNothing extraordinary here—except that it’s absolutely extraordinary. This presentation of Wildflowers & All the Rest is everything you want it to be: simple, intimate, and utterly perfect for the music it delivers.
It’s slightly less dynamic than some vinyl pressings, but that’s not a knock—it’s exactly what this music calls for. The beauty of Wildflowers is in its simplicity: Tom’s voice, Tom’s strumming, and yes, Tom’s harmonicanizing (pretty sure that’s not a word but it should be). The soundstage doesn’t need to be massive; it just needs to feel honest, and Chris Bellman nails it here. And the vinyl itself? Dead. Ass. Quiet. From the very first needle drop, there’s not a whisper of hiss or noise.
Highlight for me: Don’t Fade on Me, Tom’s vocals here are just so friggin intimate. In a two channel system, Tom is front and center and in your room.
The packaging is as thoughtful as the sound. Posters, photos—it’s all here, and it’s stunning. But I’ll it, dealing with a triple gatefold is a bit challenging. Do triple gatefold sleeves exist?
Listening to this record is a bittersweet experience. It’s a flawless representation of Petty’s artistry, but it’s also a reminder of how much we miss him. This is more than a reissue; it’s a love letter to one of the most heartfelt and timeless records of his career. -
The listing says 2 lps. Is it 3 lps or two? I ask bc I found a new copy for $20 but the listing says 3 lps

Amazing package. Really beautiful design of the sleeve and inserts and everything- a pretty thick gatefold but easily cool enough to justify it.
This is the best sounding record in my collection. It’s got a holographic sound quality. Smoother than silk but retains crispness, absolutely minimal noise, beautiful definition and separation. Big warm soundstage with Petty & Friends mostly positioned close to the listener. The intimacy is used to great effect. A remarkable argument for vinyl as a medium. -
Edited 8 months agoInitially I didn't want to get this because I didn't really care about the extra tracks, but I'm glad I did. One, the quality is exceptional. I had this on CD when it came out and played it over and over, and even though it's been years, I can tell you it didn't sound any better than this. And two, the extra tracks are totally worth your time. I had no idea that Tom wrote Leave Virginia Alone, but it explains why I found myself liking it despite not giving Rod Stewart a chance on anything else (maybe he's good, no idea frankly). But Tom's version is better and now I can't hear that song in my head the way Stewart did it. Oh, and the packaging is really nice too. Quality material, well designed. Highly recommend this release.

Edited one year agoWouldn't you know it....I finally find a copy. Buy it, open it, go to clean it.....and something is embedded in the record that makes it pop as the stylus es over it. It looks like a flake of paper or something but totally ruined it for me. Not to mention Side 2 of record 1 the label is grossly off centre making the record look warped as it spins. Now I have to return it and go on the hunt for ANOTHER copy. FML!

This pressing is absolutely spectacular. It's also a really beautiful cover and the material feels velvety smooth just holding it in your hands. Love the 3- gatefold and just staring at the photos. Sounds crisp, clean, and quiet. Do not this up. If you are on the fence, just do it. No regerts.
