Stunning. Flat, and beautiful dynamics, no surface noise. It amazes me this kid sold just a few thousand records during his life. I'm so grateful for the studios that recorded him, and recorded him so well, and for Nick for his incredible talent, and putting it into the groove.

Yes. This is the one you want. I ordered this in from Europe with his other records too. I wanted the optimal pressings as the US ones are not good. Really well done here, love the jacket. Pressing is top tier, no issues. We are lucky to have this out of Optimal.

Solid pressing, sounds fantastic and detailed. Like listening for the first time. I didn't realize this repressing was first released 11 years back. Mine had no code, just a 'made in ' hype sticker.

Edited 8 months agoThis is truly a fantastic pressing. The instrument separation is really outstanding. Echoing all the good reviews on here, this is worth every penny.
-
Fantastic sounding pressing. This is a midrange beast—Nick’s voice sounds almost holographic. The whole time I listened I thought I was listening with a tube system (mine is purely solid state). Overall I’d describe this as warm and inviting. Makes you want to crank it. Highly recommend. Mine didn’t come with a code.

Edited 10 months agoNick Drake's music is oddly therapeutic for me. When I'm depressed, I sometimes listen to his music, and I usually feel better. I don't know why this is, but it is what it is, and I am grateful. "Northern Sky" gets me every time...."would you love me through the winter, would you love me till i'm dead, oh if you would and you could..." BRYTER LAYTER is an exquisitely beautiful album, and this pressing does it justice. Lush, detailed, intimate, majestic...just a wonderful sounding record.

i listened this record laying down with my cat and he really loved it!
it is such a good sounding pressing and the textured sleeve looks so good -
Ok this exceeded my expectations! Lush, deep, and layered. Really brings out the fullness of the lush arrangements. Gorgeous sounding record!
-
This release is a great one! No cracks or pops and the sound is just beautiful. Love the textured sleeve. All in all a quality record.

Edited one year agoAmazing release, the sound is absolutely beautiful. It is the same pressing as the box set and all those reviews there are evidence that this is a great pressing. Now I'll just have to get Pink Moon an Five Leaves
