This edition is special not only because the booklet is limited and it sounds a thousand times better than the bad 2024 reissue boo. I don't understand why. This never sounded so good, it's a sonic dream
-
My 2024 "Made in " repress has "BN94056-01" etched into the runout matrix. I assume this means the European repress was pressed by Optimal – like this 2023 version here? https://discogs.librosgratis.biz/release/31346836-Talking-Heads-Stop-Making-Sense-Music-From-A-Film-By-Jonathan-Demme-And-Talking-Heads It certainly sounds amazing – but I do not have a comparison at hand of the 2023 version.

New version will be pressed by GZ… it’ll sound noisy and qc low… therefore this is still the copy to have.
-
Edited one year agoBeing reissued in 2024 on either 31 March or 5 Apr depending where you read, different cover, same track listing.
-
Well that'll teach me not to open my copy for months - side A is a non-fill fest and of course no chance of getting a replacement now :( Sounds amazing apart from that though, obviously!
-
I can’t really add much to reviews below, I’ve loved this album since it was released and am very happy to have a clean copy that finally includes the missing tracks. My only real quibble is the exclusion of Byrne walking on stage at the beginning of Psycho Killer… Cutting out the ‘Hi, I have a tape I want to play..’ seems a strange ommision as it is a key moment in an iconic show.
-
Mine is a touch noisy on the intro but other than that it is a great pressing and what a concert .. cant be bothered changing it for the few seconds of noise ...
-
Awesome pressing! Should have been a gatefold cover, but the booklet is great! Two new songs fit in perfectly with the rest! Love this, the best ever white funk album!
-
Just did a comparison with an original pressing. Both obviously digital sounding but not in a bad way. Parts of original are more dynamic but with this new reissue, the clarity and definition of the bass and percussion especially on the faster tracks like WADTW are so much better. Byrne’s vocals are also clearer. Well worth the purchase.
