Sounds absolutely phenomenal. Got mine from Barnes & Noble and it seemed to have a few scratches but it seems to not affect the playback quality. The instrumentation on this shines even more on vinyl!

My copy of this sounds very good. I love the production and songwriting on this album. Will more than likely break this one day after listening to it too many times.

Another one of them spur of the moment record buys for me. Its a nice pressing but it's going back into my shelf and perhaps I'll spin it again in another 10 years. Not for me at all.
Recommended pressing if that's your thing. -
This to me is a vinyl playback that 'could have been'. Slight warping and a very narrow compressed audio file in analog playback keeps this far from the promise of what it could have been.
Songs are strong....the album could have had much more life than what happened with it in the marketplace since releasing...the band probably will play these songs live awesomely. The vinyl definitely does not match that reality. -

I like the mixing on most of the songs better than on streaming services but it is veeeery quiet, I had to pretty much double the usual volume to make it sound good. When you turn it up enough it is quite punchy and nice though, would've liked a louder/clearer guitar at some points but otherwise good. Pretty scratched even though it came sealed unfortunately, but nothing audible.

Edited one year agoUnfortunately got a faulty copy. So i had to return it. Record is warped very little on the edge and it almost can't be seen even when it is viewed in strong light but it fluctiates from side to side like crazy causing skipping on tracks A1 and B1. Also, both sides have really audible surface noise in spite of cleaning.
Mastering and sound is very pleasing though. It is clear in general and all frequency spectrum from bottom to top is pretty balanced except for Hayley's vocals is a bit upfront and low end could be a little bit stronger which I assume it is a concious choise since it has limited space on the disc. Audio level is not loud but not low either. So, you can expect to hear surface noise especially in quiet ages but it is beacuse of that dynamic range is also better and not too compressed compared to other Paramore albums.
There are a lot people like this record. So, I guess the main problem is the quality control on this issue. It could be pressed at better factory or cut a bit hotter. But thats all. Great album, pretty good sound. -
Edited one year agoMastering seems a bit off for me, vocals are kinda muddy and sibilant especially on louder songs, and has some pops here and there, otherwise sounds pretty good. Maybe a 180g pressing would have been better since there are quite a few louder songs and more range than their usual

Edited 2 years agoGot this to replace my Target Gold vinyl, sounds incredible by comparison. Still some minor pops here in there, but 100x better than that variant. Would recommend.
