Paramore – This Is Why

Ok well I have a problem with this one : I was excited to listen to this as I really wanted this album on clear vinyl too but as soon as the needle touched the record, the sound of a wildfire appeared... Can someone tell me if all this static can go away in some way because my pressing does seem good in all other points.

Poor quality pressing, sounds weird and flat and kinda distorted

not hifi but sounds better than 99% of new prerecorded tape and has dynamics and that's appreciated.

average DR of 11 w/ songs ranging from DR 10 - DR 12

Sounds absolutely phenomenal. Got mine from Barnes & Noble and it seemed to have a few scratches but it seems to not affect the playback quality. The instrumentation on this shines even more on vinyl!

My copy of this sounds very good. I love the production and songwriting on this album. Will more than likely break this one day after listening to it too many times.

Whoa, this 24-bit 96-kHz release (Qobuz) sounds like one of those High Dynamic Range albums. (Qobuz s this as 24-bit 44.1kHz, but after ing it turns out to be 96-kHz, yay!) The clarity, dynamics, and mix are perfect. There's no ear daggers or boomy bass to contend with. Fortunately Hayley's lovely vocals are placed forward in the mix. The long list of credits shows that this album was quite an undertaking. The result is a rich tapestry of sounds, and never a dull moment. Excellent!

No idea what everyone is complaining about. My copy sounds bangin'. Have to crank it a little louder than others which increases the noise floor in between songs but I don't hear any surface noise when the songs are playing.
It comes in a plain paper sleeve so it had some debris on it so cleaned it and put it in a poly lined one ...but all good here.

I can't edit the info here, so I'll leave a comment because this is the only clear version of "This Is Why" on Discogs. I was confused that it looked like the Assai Obi edition but had the same IDs as the regular "Indie Edition" that I own.

This is not necessarily the Assai Obi edition. The original indie exclusive in clear vinyl has the same IDs as stated here. So either the Assai Obi edition has different IDs, or they just use the existing record and add their 'obi' strip to make it 'more exclusive.' (I wouldn't be surprised, though, as the whole Assai Obi thing seems overrated and just hype). Here are the IDs from my indie exclusive in clear vinyl (NOT the Obi edition):

Another one of them spur of the moment record buys for me. Its a nice pressing but it's going back into my shelf and perhaps I'll spin it again in another 10 years. Not for me at all.

Recommended pressing if that's your thing.

This to me is a vinyl playback that 'could have been'. Slight warping and a very narrow compressed audio file in analog playback keeps this far from the promise of what it could have been.
Songs are strong....the album could have had much more life than what happened with it in the marketplace since releasing...the band probably will play these songs live awesomely. The vinyl definitely does not match that reality.
