this shade of green is so spot on - maybe even darker. the album's an emotional rollercoaster and the sound quality is excellent

Listening to this album on vinyl made me have a deeper appreciation for it. Evermore was on the lower side of my Taylor album ranking, but after having it on vinyl, it's easily in my top 3. I have the translucent green pressing and I haven't noticed any issues with the sound - it's pretty clean and sounds wonderful.

I have the EU opaque green vinyl and it plays perfectly. It’s as if I’m listening to evermore for the very first time - the quality is incredible. No static or distortion. I’m thrilled with this record and the forest green is truly striking!

From the research I’ve done, this precise pressing has the darkest shade of green of any of the evermore pressings. However, I remain very confused about how to acquire this version. It’s supposed to be the version that’s sold in Europe, vs. the other opaque version that’s sold through US sources but has a more blue-green shade. I specifically ordered a copy here on Discogs from a Romanian record store so I could guarantee to get this precise pressing, and yet I’m quite certain I ended up with the variation that’s SUPPOSED to be sold in the US. The color I received has the blue-green tint, and I don’t believe it’s the dark green that THIS European version is supposed to be. However, the Romanian record store swears they order their product from European sellers. So I have no idea how I still can’t manage to get this darkest green variant even though I did everything right.

Jeez no one knows the difference between the 1st Europe pressing (which is opaque) and the 2nd US pressing (translucent), which are both unfortunately made in . Sellers are listing both under here, looks like mainly the translucent though

I just bought this one from my local record store. It's an opaque green, with the "made in " sticker.
I was not quite sure if I should take this, after all these negative reviews that I found here, but anyway I did. Well, I don't know if I just got lucky, but my version has only a few (insignificant) clicks, but overall is a super quiet record compared to many others that I own. Another thing is, that I really like the photographs and the aesthetic of this album, all together creating a perfect atmosphere. Personally, I am really glad to get this and I would totally recommend it.
PS. The green color is awesome. -
Edited 2 years agoI think this is a decent pressing - it's not great, certainly not amazing (like the Red TV pressing), but it's not horrible either. I suspect many people who claim it's very bad are listening on headphones, but fact is it's very rare to find a record that sounds great on head phones these days, if not ever. When listening on my big speakers, it sounds great, there are very few pops and clicks. When listening on head phones, it's a different story, quite a lot of surface noise is revealed, especially on side A and worst on side C, where are repeated scratching or "whooshing" noise is head in the right channel every other second, which is very noticable not only in the quiet between songs, but also over the more quiet parts of tracks like Marjorie. Also there's distortion on the vocals several times during Tolerate It (probably caused by its inner grove location). When all that's said, I'd recommend this to anyone who listen to their records on big floor speakers, whereas those who listen on head phones may want to try and see if a better pressing surfaces at some point.
