Just got one of these off Amazon, looks like a 4th variant??
Side A #24
Side B #29
Side C #26
Side D #23 (Might be an 8 but think its a 3)
Rest of its exactly the same. -
I bought this new and it is the dirtiest new vinyl I have ever purchased. I cleaned it with cleaning solution & LP brush before the first spin. I've had to stop Side 1 three separate times to clean the gunk off the stylus. I don't even want to play the other 3 sides until I can get this thing on an ultrasonic, for fear of ruining my stylus.
That being said, once all of the trash had been dug out of the grooves, and for the 3 minutes the stylus remained clean enough to reproduce sound faithfully, Side 1 sounded pretty good. The volume was maybe a bit low overall, but the mix was good and the bass was round and full -
Fantastic sound. Warm, bassy and punchy, this is truly an album to vibe out to... Once you throw out those pathetically lame paper sleeves

Sounds fine, really quiet though. Had to mess with my amps gain settings to get it to sound normal. Really would love a gatefold repress…

Ordered from HHV and received this version. I m very happy with it, I think it sounds great. Artwork seems blown up though? Especially credits on back

Good pressing. Volume is a little low but has good dynamics once turned up a bit. Minimal surface noise after cleaning. Classic hip hop album and a must own.

Plus one for the MRP cut of this - sounds really good! My copy is a weird hybrid, with the CJH cut on side C, the rest MRP. That side C is overly bright to me, and lacking in bottom end. Anyone else out there have this combo?

This is for sure pressed by Memphis Record Pressing. Midnight Marauders was pressed by MRP with catalog title MRP0104 and that would put this as being pressed in 2015. Compare the matrix numbers. Whomever created this entry cut and pasted from the United pressing's info.
