An absolute treat. Great sound, dynamic and heavy and flat records. Great book included too. Who knew CCR could sound this good! Get it, even if you’re just a mid tier fan.

Got my copy from Amazon a couple days ago (No. 1790) - it was packaged in a cardboard box that had a shipping label on it indicating it was shipped direct from the manufacturer in to Amazon as an individual unit. That box was inside of an Amazon shipping box. When I opened it, the top right corner of the flip-top box set box was crushed in. Somewhat undeterred, I began listening to the LPs - first one was flawless - dead silent with no surface noise. I then played the second LP, "Bayou Country" - side one, the side with "Graveyard Train" (that others have reported background noise on) was FULL of pops & clicks from the very beginning of "Born On The Bayou." I didn't even get as far as "Graveyard Train" - between the crushed corner of the box & the surface noise on LP 2, Side 1, I boxed everything back up & returned it to Amazon. I am awaiting a replacement that is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

Shipping the box sets from the manufacturer to retailers individually increases the chances of physical damage IMO - I wonder why the manufacturer is shipping them like that instead of multiples in a case / on a palette???

Got my set in today, bought from Amazon US. Didn't have the defect some have mentioned from Pendulum. The set is beautiful and records are quiet. Extremely happy I purchased.

Defect on Pendulum LP at the end of the last track of the side 1 : (Wish I could) Hideaway". I returned the Boxset and ordered an other one but the same defect at the same place. Please, can you say me if someone has this problem ?
