Solid pressing. Only wish there were more tracks on the album. Bass could be a little punchier, but overall good mix.

RSD vinyl releases have traditionally been hit or miss. There's a lot of RSD garbage out there simply repackaged to look rare. Thankfully Jason Isbell and the 400 Units RSD 2018 release Live At Twist & Shout 11.16.07 isn’t a waste of time, money or wax, even though Isbell himself has said in print that it’s not very good. This one is a hit! My only complaint is that it is so short. I think his comments stem from the fact that he had no control over the release. I would define this gem as exactly what an RSD release should be. It's a short print (only 3000 un-numbered copies were pressed), so you are getting something which is very close to falling into the rare column. Because of his comments I was worried that the vinyl pressing would be of a lower quality than the CD, which was also just re-released (although the CD version is NOT an RSD 2018 release). It sounds pretty damb good to me!!! Isbell pulls out 5 of his earlier songs spanning his Drive By Truckers years including Goddamn Lonely Love, Danko/Manuel, and Outfit, plus 2 great songs from his first solo effort after leaving DBT, Grown and Hurricanes and Hand Grenades. The only cover song on the album is an amazing version Van Morrison’s Into the Mystic, not available anywhere else but on this vinyl record and CD. It's just 1 song from being an EP so I wish it were longer. I would own this album just for Into the Mystic alone. Grab this before the prices start going up as it belongs in every music fans record collection. I happily give this excellent live album 5 out of 5 stars.
