The cover of Driver 8 is awesome! Oh, my pressing is excellent.

Excellent album. My copy has several instances of noise/distortion, which is really unfortunate. The store that sold it to me blames my system (too good) or my attitude (not forgiving enough for the format). Does anyone listen to vinyl to be MORE forgiving? The song selection, production, and all of the rest is great when it is not distorted. I mean this more of vinyl quality review than a musical review, obviously.

Is it supposed to have a code? I got my sealed copy yesterday and there isn’t one

Great sounding album, my copy came mislabeled with both discs being labeled as side 3 & 4

Isbell did a great job selecting the artists to work with. Only a couple of misses. Recording is really good. Vinyl is flat and no surface noise.

One of my 12”s is heavy weight, and the other is standard weight. Is this how all of them are?

This is a really well done piece of vinyl, which has become the standard for Jason. They are nice color, flat, and in a nice, heavy gatefold. They are also in poly lined sleeves. The sound is very nice. Nice soundstage and master, not too loud with good separation. I have a touch of nonfill early in the first track on side D, but not terrible. Otherwise, perfect sound. Well done, again.

Great LP! Can’t tell where it was pressed, but flat and quiet, well mastered as well. Record 2 of my copy has a badly formed spindle hole, very oval. I thought at first is was pressed off center (by quite a bit), but then I noticed the entire record was off. After a bit of trial, I can place on the spindle so that it’s centered. Plays fine, so I marked the label with a small line to make it easier to play.

Some enjoyable covers and mine sounds clean and crisp. Listening to Jason stretch himself vocally is fun (He really has to strain on the brilliant "Sometimes Salvation," which is yet another reminder that Chris Robinson is one of the most effortlessly brilliant rock vocalists of all time), and inviting Steve Gorman to play on it is an interesting choice given his relationship to the Crowes. I think 12,000 copies is stretching the definition of "limited," but I guess that's the name of the game and I'd rather everybody who wants a copy of a record can get a copy of a record.
