Thanks to “The Catcher in the Rye for the MTV generation" ...
After I re-read "Lunar Park" by Bret Easton Ellis, the album "Fear of a Blank Planet" by Porcupin Tree (which was inspired by it) became (even) deeper... more coherent...
As usual from this band / & Wilson - top sound quality and the combination of image (lyrics) and frame (music) excellent!
(I've just listened to the CD again [but I don't have bad memories of the vinyl release either]! I was interested in the overall concept of the content - not in the specific evaluation of a sound carrier.) -
Ten years old now! One of the all time greatest rock masterpieces in my opinion. Instrumentally probably Porcupine Tree's tightest album - not a single wasted note. People don't know what they're missing...

First I was a bit troubled about the "new" style. But when you listen to that CD more often, you´ll find out how beautiful it is. In the end I had it live in Hamburg, since then it´s one of my favourites. Best one is "Sentimental".
