Love the album and the book/artwork, but why is it always so hard to slide the LP in and out of the gatefold cover, even without the 7” being inserted?!?🤷♂️

I love the artwork of this LP release. It's already enjoyable even before playing the record. The record itself could sound a bit better.

This is one of my favorite albums ever! In the summer of 2016 I saw the concert at the Alexandra Palace in London and it was amazing!

Edited one month agoI've had this copy for 2 years and only come around to write this review. This is one of, if not the best sounding record I have. I'm not sure if it's the same pressing/copy as the regular versions, but I absolutely love mine. I highly recommend this
Update: I’ve came back this record, with better trained ears and setup than before, and while it’s still pretty good a lot of other records, the lows and mids are mixed much louder than the highs, but nothing an eq can’t fix I believe -
This is a review for the deluxe vinyl + 7" yellow vinyl single edition.
This isn't my usual style of music, but I bought it having seen the two perform on Jools Holland. They form a great band and make performance look easy. The 'lead duo' have a beguiling, suave / geeky thing going on, bringing to mind Elvis and Chris Isaaks, but for NOW. I really like the album, it's got some special songs on it, the orchestral arrangements on pieces like Aviation make the music soar. I have to it, I don't always get the lyrics . . . but . . .
As for this specific edition, the vinyl is high production value. I'm glad I have this version. The 7" Bad Habits is fun to have. The album itself is housed in a very firm sleeve that has some groovy B&W photos pasted in to make the album a (very) slim coffee table book. It's one of the best-produced vinyl offerings I possess. Well worth the money, the band obviously wanted to make this a special offering. -

Are all the bonus 7"s yellow? I had thought from the promo info provided that this was a TLSP webshop exclusive, and that bricks 'n' mortar shops got a black 7". Can anyone confirm either way?

Edited 9 years agoThe balance and sequence of this album is great. It is like a great course of fine dining. Most important song is Bad Habits in this album. Having heard this song for the first single, I thought this album would be not good and it made me hesitate to buy this album. But I heard this album entirely then I thought this song wasn't good for the first single still but its role was so important. It refreshed my ear like sorbet so I could enjoy the rest of the album. Now I'm listening over and over. I highly recommend this album to Someone who haven't tried to listen this because of Bad Habits. Don't worry. 👍🏻👍🏻😊
