Edited 10 months agoAgree with all the positive reviews here...Flat, quiet vinyl, detailed, punchy mastering of an all-time classic LP...Great value on this one, would love to hear an early pressing to compare.
-
Pressing & mastering is great, with good bass and punch to the sound. Clarity is also good & sounds rockin' played LOUD. Just nice to find a Mats LP for less than an arm & a leg...
-
Edited one year agoThis is dead quiet. There is no surface noise even with my headphones on. Dynamic and clean press. However, there is some groove distortion most noticeably on the last tracks of each side, Androgynous, Black Diamond, Sixteen Blue and Answering Machine. Overall good pressing tho.
-
Really great sound & mastering on this pressing. No QC issues to report. Happy to recommend this version!
-
One of the, if not the best Replacements record. Great sound. Great songs. You can’t go wrong with this.
-
I am always skeptical of new pressings and was searching for an original Twin Tone in EX condition. Decided to buy the modern Rhino reissue based on these reviews and super pleased. I'd say this one sounds better than my old original from the 80s, although maybe it's just that I have better equipment than I did then :-) Either way a great sounding disc and easily the 'Mats best album.
-
Great pressing with strong bass.
This cuts off the countoff beginning of Answering Machine, I assume this was the same case for the boxset pressing of this record. -
For those apprehensive about many of todays reissues, they did an incredible job with these. Excellent pressing quality, great mastering, affordable price...
All good. We can finally get a copy of this for $20 instead of $100.
