No issues here. Flat and pretty quiet with great dynamics. The Elvis Costello track is especially nice sounding.

Had mine for about 5yrs. Sounds solid on my system. Flat, no skips, just a little crackle in quiet ages. Good dynamics n soundscape if a little recessed on some older tracks but that's prob just how it was captured back in the day.
A really good listen across a variety of styles.
Sorry to see others haven't the same to say. Sometimes you eat the bear -
Well its not the quietest pressing in my collection but after a good cleaning it sounds very good, don't ever not purchase a pressing because someone somewhere said it was bad formulation of vinyl, too close, too heavy bla bla bla, if you are a fan of the music then pull the trigger on it as a high end audiophile pressing of this will probably not happen.

Edited 4 years agoi totally disagree with all of the comments that (sound wise) slam this release: it's a quiet, flat and well balanced pressing.
on the other hand, the packaging is quite lousy: that's the real shame if we think about the cult status that the movie gained troughout the years. -
All those comments about the quality plus NO GATEFOLD, no DLC or poster or even a good 180gram press...Thanks almost bought that crap.If it had gatefold I maybe bought it..Thanks dudes!

Edited 6 years agoGreat soundtrack, terrible pressing. Huge fan of the movie, so I bought this, spun it once, and quickly sold it after listening to how terrible it sounded. Upon inspection, it was scuffed like crazy and the track grooves were all crammed way too close together. I hope a proper double LP will be released in future from a great brand such as Music On Vinyl or Rhino.

This is a piss poor release. You can feel the producers of this reissue cutting corners wherever they could think to. Cramming it onto one disc is by far the biggest mistake. The deadwax is only about half the width of a typical record and my copy skips like crazy. The grooves are clearly way too close together. Sound quality is fine when it's running, but nothing special.
It's a shame such a quality soundtrack was put in the hands of incompetent people. -
