I will edit this review over time as I examine this record more thoroughly.
This is the German 2011 repressing of Yoshimi, mastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman's company in California. The disc had two problems when I opened it; it was severely warped, perhaps from 12 years in VERY tight shrinkwrap; and it had a slight gash or cavity in track 3 of side A (Yoshimi Part One).
I am listening to Side A now, and luckily I hear no problems caused by either issue. I dodged a bullet here; I suspect that if Yoshimi Part One had been a quieter track I might've heard something.

The record so far sounds as good as people say; the bass and the various psychedelic sound effects are room-filling and very impressive. The only issues I note are a slight sibilance to the first track (Fight Test) and very slight clicking on the second track (One More Robot).
I will edit this review when I have listened to the LP more thoroughly, and in particular have compared it to the 2002 CD.

    (EDIT) Side A comparison only

Fight Song: The sibilance on this track is also present on the CD. It is almost like the CD version toned down the high pitched sounds in order to cut a sibilance problem, but then ended up muffling the whole sound. The Fight Song lyrics sound much better on the LP - the voice has more sparkle and clarity, it's not just extra sibilance - if you don't mind a bit of a hissy sound to the letter S.

Sympathy 3000-21: This track sounds identical between LP and CD.

Yoshimi Part 1 and 2: High pitched percussion sounds are much clearer on the LP, and I do prefer this over the CD. Every time I switched back to the LP I was struck by how much better the vinyl sounded. Again, it's like the CD version has been unnecessarily muffled down. (By the way, the gash or cavity I thought I saw in this track turned out to be a fleck of vinyl scrap on the surface; and the warpage did mostly flatten out by itself after unpacking, rather surprisingly.)

Morning Of The Magicians: On this track alone the bass sounds noticeably better on the CD version. Otherwise the two versions are very similar. This is a track probably to listen to on CD.

I will compare the tracks on Side B later. Please note my equipment is pretty entry level: Rega Planar 1, Art DJ Pre II preamp, Fosi V3 amplifier, Boston A25 speakers.

The perfect example of a perfect pressing. Clean, quiet, and sturdy.

Great pressing, very dynamic and quiet. Something to play when you want to show someone how cool vinyl sounds.
