My wife just bought this for me for Valentine’s Day. Fantastic sound! The acoustic instruments sound warm and clear. Record was flat. I haven’t cleaned it yet but it is still pretty much silent aside from a few light pops and clicks. This is a great album in general that just sounds even better on vinyl. I was also excited to see it came with the sun giant Ep. Your collection needs this album

my copy is very good. very minimal poops, only noticeable during the quite parts of the album. I have always liked the fleet foxes but my respect for them jumped when I saw them perform at Merriweather post pavilion Aug 2022. Wow!! They are one of those groups that are on another level performing live. I highly recommend seeking a ticket.

Why is this pricing listed pretty low as compared to the other represses or other vinyls in this discog? I thought 1st pressings were more valuable?

Just to make sure, this is the original first pressing, right?
On the back says Sub Pop Record 2013 4th avenue but that is the Sub pop address in NYC. Am i right?

Hands down, one of the best vinyl values for quality music. Stellar artistry, sweeping production, clean pressing and a bonus ep for typically under $25. Oh, and the album is awesome for road trips through forests, mountains and along the banks of rivers - or for just imagining that you are.

This is an incredibly sounding pressing. Huge dynamics and just breathtakingly beautiful sounding. Especially Quiet Houses is pure magic. It is an outstanding job of the engineers to achieve such quality, taking into consideration some of the tracks are in part home recordings.
I echo previous reviewers in noting that this is a very warm sounding record. It is very mid-focussed and not very bright. However, this is a good thing because it highly profits the style of music and I believe this is how they intended it to sound.
Sun Giant EP is indeed a tad noisier but only on very quiet parts such as the beginning of Drops In The River.

Overall, highly recommended issue of this album. One of the best sounding non-audiophile vinyls in my collection, if not the best.
Get it as long as it is still in print if you like this band.

One of best modern pressings I have. Pancake flat and sounds like a new copy should.

Musically great. Sonically I find this pressing a little muddy and lacking a depth that I hoped would be there. In short, given the acoustic instrumentation and vocal harmonies I was hoping the analog version would blow the digital away, but I can't really say that it does. That said, by all means there's nothing wrong with the pressing, I just don't think you're really missing out if you never hear the album this way.

Some of the best singing I’ve ever heard. Beautiful pressing and a total bargain at that
