Edited 2 years agoA tiny bit of crackle between tracks (as it often happens with MOV), but otherwise a spectacularly sounding pressing: very dynamic and with great channel separation, and the bass will suck your ears out and punch you in the gut.

I'm praying the 90's box comes soon, because otherwise I'll never own this, Black Tie White Noise, Hours and Buddha Of Suburbia on vinyl. *weeps*

When I first listened to this album, along with most of David Bowie's recent albums, I didn't care too much for it, always preferring his original older stuff. I have every one of all his albums either on CD or LP and I must it his newer stuff definitely grows on me the more I listen to it. They are fast becoming some of my favorites of which I now listen to more than his original earlier works. All I can recommend is at first an album listening doesn't grab you , listen a few more times, I think you will be surprised how each of his albums will grow on you. Earthling is now one of my favorites right up there along with Black Tie and The Next Day and of course Blackstar, although again, I am needing to listen a few times for his latest album to grab me too. :)

I'm becoming a big fan of the Music On Vinyl represses. Although I am not a huge fan of this album (just not my favorite Bowie record) The repress is excellent. No surface noise, beautiful green vinyl and a super glossy gate fold sleeve that the record slides in from the center out. some parts of the jacket (cover really) seemed kinda flimsy, but whatever its a great repress.
As of the first week in November you can still get this record in the US (on green vinyl) off of Amazon. I dont know why everyone is charging so much.
