David Bowie – Earthling

The bass on this pressing is killer - listen to I'm Afraid of Americans! Overall a great, muscular cut with lots of detail, and the artwork looks brilliant too. I'm sure the Parlophone 2LP is great too as they all have been, but if you come across this for a good price then it has the advantage of preserving the original two sides (with Dead Man Walking a fantastic way to start the second half) rather than splitting them across three.

Revisited this today and still sounds fresh. Timeless work. Love how he experimented with drum n' bass. Best and most experimental work he ever did as far as i am concerned. Love it. Who would have ever though bowie and drum n' bass. Plus, the pressing is incredible.

bruh 300 for a promo cd with the same songs that are on the reissues, does it come with anything extra like images, interview text, a booklet , anything??

A reference quality recording and digital transfer. This particular edition will blow you away.

Maybe not the best sound, but it doesn't sound terrible to me. Friday Music might not be audiophile, but some of their records sound pretty good, including this one.

So glad this got a repress. As for the pressing itself, it sounds great to me. Lotta bass on this. Really rich low end. As for the music, I tend to disagree with most pop-culture music reviewers who seem to want to place this on the lower-end of his output. Yes, he was riding on the drum-n-bass coattails of the era, but this is also unmistakably Bowie and, as such, seems to have weathered the time better than the rest of the DnB of the era and still has a quite refreshing and modern sound to it. Or maybe it's just because we're all still afraid of Americans.

A tiny bit of crackle between tracks (as it often happens with MOV), but otherwise a spectacularly sounding pressing: very dynamic and with great channel separation, and the bass will suck your ears out and punch you in the gut.

Good reissue, this pressing sounds marginally better than my copy of the first pressing - this sounds slightly more 'open' in comparison to that first pressing, with a slightly wider soundstage.

Very good pressing, sound is fine, bass are deep, highs shine. A little bit curved on side A, other side are ok.

Great sounding vinyl and beautiful packaging. It's a joy to own.
