I have the most mangled looking copy you can imagine. Scratched up. Stained. I cleaned it up - got some of the stains out but not all. The scratches remain, of course. But it plays like a monster. Yes, with some crackles, pops and static. But it still bangs. All of which is to say: this is a terrific pressing to survive whatever my poor record was subjected to over the years.

Hands down a classic in the classic Jamaican roots pantheon. Heavy gnarly bass lines echoed drum kits, even drum machines! Lee was a genius and albeit I am not a fan of his later material this album is vibrant progressive reggae goodness in its finest form. Im reviewing from listening to the APE-OLOGY CD compilation.

Phenomenal album and one I cannot stop playing over and over again. Energy on this LP is unmatched! Top shelf album.

Excellent record with some interesting sonics and sounds as per Mr Perry and his fine group of musicians. I have a copy with the exact sleeve for this release but the Upsetters label as per this release: https://discogs.librosgratis.biz/release/3489666-Lee-Perry-Roast-Fish-Collie-Weed-Corn-Bread - is my release simply the Upsetters one that has been slipped into this sleeve?
