Nice album to just relax too. The sound on the pressing, at least on my system, is clear, dynamic and punchy. Great pressing.

There are a lot of irrate coments about the lack of Scientists image and name.
I would prefer the 'original' artist & art myself, however the fact is- Scientist does not own these recording , he never did, and probably never will. He is a mixer, and some folk can't fathom what that means.
Imagine Phil Spector claiming the Beatles lp he did should have his name and face on the cover, and he should own the copyright and collected a percentage of profits for life!
Does a picture framer suddenly get rights to the artwork framed ?
Does your hairdresser suddenly own your hair after a haircut?
Scientist was paid a fee for his work as usual. He did not produce these tracks, he did not write or play them. He didn't compile the tracks, nor licence the songs.
The only claim here is what G'sleeves should contribute for using his image and name for marketing.
The producer owns the tunes along with the song writers (if still applicable) . Even the musician have no claim if paid a session fee.
Often the producers will contribute something more if hits result, or more session work will follow.
The ultimate stars of this series of lps are THE ROOTS RADICS band.
Its sad that an agreement couldnt have been reached, yet the vinyl re-issues are timely and excellent , especially with the vocal counterparts.
The CDs are brickwalled, and lack the dynamic range of the vinyl pressings or older CD versions (pre remaster editions). -
