Edited 23 days agoWhat a great reissue, done with love. Does a great job recreating the original package but with a beautiful gatefold cover, the original inner sleeve is now the inside of the gatefold and the records are in poly lined sleeves with extra red paper inners that as far as I know never came with any of the original releases. Also includes the cool fan catalog that was found in the original versions. I’m glad they went with an alternative cover with the option to place the insert of the the original cover over it. I can see why, the original insert is a washed out version of the original cover and they probably didn’t have the original art to recreate the cover correctly. The alternate cover looks great. So I own an original US pressing of this. What I assume most want to know is how does the new reissue sound? It sounds very good, this album was recorded wonderfully. It does not sound as good as the original. The original leaps organically out of your speakers in a way this new reissue doesn’t but it certainly still sounds very good and for the casual fan, it’s all you’ll really need.

As much care as went into this, I’m rather surprised at how much they crammed into Side 2. The music takes up most of what would normally be considered the run out groove. I feel they could have 3-sided the regular album and left side 4 for some bonus material.

Have to agree i hope this is the new standard for IVC as an evolving entity. They have upgraded to polysleeves for this which is a plus but every bit of the packaging has been exceptional. This sounds incredible, the 12x12 print of alternate cover is cool too. Been subbed since Dre and can't wait for the next

Edited one month agoOK, it took 18 releases from this "record club" but they finally got one right. Great package, cool looking whisper quiet vinyl, a proper great sounding remaster. This sets the bar high for these perpetual underachievers.

This is a killer package. Alternate cover, pretty colored vinyl (in nice poly lined sleeves no less!). The press itself sounds great, I have no skips or issues with sound! The bonus tracks and Elasticatalogue are a nice touch as well. Totally worth the $52 dollar price tag, and one that probably won’t leave the turntable for some time!

This pressing sounds absolutely superb. Amazing soundstage, great separation. Low noise, great dynamics, crisp and clean. Extremely happy with this one.
