I can see what some people are saying about the bass, but that's only when I plug in my headphones. If I have the album playing through my speakers, it sounds fantastic and this is without putting it through any EQ settings. Fantastic sounding pressing, amazing packaging, I'm more than happy to have it. -

Some people ought to learn how to adjust their EQ settings as not every single record is mastered to their preset liking. This is amazing and worth every single penny ($50). I am so thrilled to own and listen to this. -
Nice packaging and presentation. Mastering and sound, however, is meh. I agree with other reviews that the low end seems uncontrolled and muddy. The other IVC releases have been great. This one is a bit disappointing tbh. -
Edited 6 months agoI have been subscribed to IVC since the start and have been happy with the quality up until whatever this is. It’s extremely bass heavy and not in a good way. Muddy would be the best description. It also sounds like the levels were peaking on every song during the mastering. I will have to go back and listen to this on CD or streaming but I don’t the recordings sounding this bad. -
Brings back memories of high school, speeding down the Florida coast in a friends Scion. The first time I was in on the ground floor of a cult classic.
This is a pretty high quality package and my first from IVC. I wish for expensive club releases like this, they would do plain poly sleeves with a separate booklet with art, credits and lyrics, rather than all that on printed paper sleeves. But overall it sounds pretty great and that’s what matters.
This will be my only IVC purchase for the moment. Nothing interests me, but Interscope has a huge library to pull from so I am sure I’ll be back (crossing my fingers for Robyn’s Body Talk trio).
