Good remix.. I like the original song. Not familiar with The Man For Tet so I listened to it with an open mind... I have no complaints it is a release for charity so consider that when complaining about the price and throwing the release under the bus.. the complainers should be thankful the Cure are releasing anything at all after 16 years... be thankful for what you are getting these days and going forward.

Got a brand new copies with what appears to be manufacture scratches that don't affect the sound. Pallas Manufacture should do a better work with pressing.

Edited 26 days agoThis is quite possibly the most pointless release I have seen yet. The price in Canada was over 50 dollars for this piece of garbage. No live bonus tracks, no side B, no cover, boring mix.... I just had to laugh.

I agree with all the other comments PLUS this is one of the worst remixes from The Man Four Tet, I find it very uninspired and "normal" in a boring way. Will I use it anytime? Probably not. just Kieran in his live sets.

Edited 29 days agoWhat an insult for fans to have released this for RSD, then a week later announce a double or triple vinyl remixes album, containing this remix and another 15 (or deluxe, 23) tracks, for around double the price paid for this one on its own. They could at least have include one (or both) of the other Alone remixes to make it into a little EP/sampler of the full remix album.

It is a shame that this is the only physical media version of "Alone" out there, because this is a bloody mess. I really wish we could have had a 7" release of the OG. This remix takes what is a wonderfully grand and mournful song and puts a cheesy shuffle beat on it that could have come out of my old 80's Casio keyboard.
I was very excited earlier today to see that Robert Smith and co. were releasing a remix album of SOALW in June. Then, I got around to listening to my copy of this. If this is what I have to look forward to, I am very disappointed. -
This records cool. I like to have a blank sided record around to calibrate the antiskate. I expected a couple different versions and was surprised when I dropped on the b side though. For 23$ ? It is a good track

The B side plays dead silent, but overall the song is a bit flat. With the volume cranked up it's OK.
Could do with a tambourine or something.
