I’m finally listening to this, and I’m blown away by the quality of this recording and mastering. It’s one of the best sounding live records I’ve ever heard, and that includes the other excellent live records released by Talking Heads.

Edited one month agoJust checked the runouts of this “worldwide” version. Cut at Sterling by JNH and pressed at MRP. It’s the same as the U.S. version it seems. The only difference being that the U.S. version has some # numbers eg #6 which isn’t on this one.

There wasn't a lot on this year's RSD list that piqued my interest, but I saw this in my local store and picked it up.
I was not disappointed.
Punchy, clear, great dynamics and lots of detail. Really tight, awesome performance. Just a fantastic record all around. -

Edited 22 days agoThis sounds great and especially for a Talking Heads fan. I am glad to find a copy and from the first listen it is done really well.

Live On Tour was recorded at the Agora in Cleveland on December 18, 1978 and published as promo LP for radio broadcast in 1979. Recorded on the More Songs About Buildings and Food tour, the promo release was never officially released for the public. This is the first official release of the full show, fully remastered from the original analogue tapes and features one previously unreleased track.
