An acoustic solo album demands a quiet pressing, and this one delivers. This album sounds awesome, and there is no distracting surface noise.

Great fucking pressing and EQ!! Rossnagel is spot-on about this album. Deceptively simple arrangements with Jason’s wonderful voice imparting wisdom and insight. Intimate soundstage with nice airy guitar. Highest recommendation! -
Edited 2 months agoFINALLY! We get the pressing of Jason that we deserve and, for that matter, Jason deserves. The record is dead quiet and the soundstage presentation is stunning. Highlight for me is Eileen — not sure if he’s on a different mic or if he just brought a different energy to the performance but it just sounds incredibly more intimate than any other track. If you’re an Isbell fan, this is a must get. Gravelweed and Don’t Be Tough are a bit over modulated but that’s likely my TT. Don’t forget people — “Tell yourself that you belong”
