How the hell Dua lipa vinyl sound so good!!! Shame on more art heavy artists whos vinyl releases are total shitshow.

This is the blue vinyl pressing. The colour is really nice - it’s translucent and has a novel shimmer as it spins. I usually avoid colour vinyl but this is nice and if you like such things I think you’ll love it. As others have said this sounds significantly different from the digital streaming version, so care has been taken to produce something especially for the vinyl market. My copy is clean and flat, I like the separation and although the soundscape is pretty narrow it’s overall a very nice sound. There’s some strong bass at times but this is pop and that’s all good by me.

A few neglectable pops and clicks, but it sounds great! Surprisingly much better than on streaming platforms, i guess they really tried to make it better on vinyl. Very happy i own this!

Edited one month agoGood effort by Duala Lupa.
For me, Training day, Houdini and Falling forever are the standout tracks on Radial Optometrist. All 3 are bangers and are worth the price of ission, although I preferred Future Nostalgia as an album overall.
The Curacao semi transparent blue vinyl spins dead flat is commendably quiet and well mastered for vinyl like her 2 previous albums. It sounds great on the turntable, so two thumbs up for that! Lastly, it is worth mentioning that there is no gatefold for this particular edition and the packaging is pretty basic, including the cheap paper sleeve, which I duly replaced with a one to save the record from getting scuffed and scored. -
Edited 10 months agoMy copy of this pressing has some noticeable pops and clicks during certain songs, and Dua’s voice can sound sort of distorted at times, but it is otherwise a good pressing in a beautiful color.

Edited 11 months agomy copy is not too bad. a little bit of surface noise and enough compression to make the music seem a little lifeless. Pretty good for colored vinyl. shame it hasn't yet been released on black vinyl yet

Nice sounding disc - clearly mastered differently for Vinyl. Sound is more silky than the harsh digital master. Delighted this album was produced by Kevin Parker of Tame impala. Only drawback is a couple of hisses between tracks.
Setup: Techics SP10 MK2, Rega 880 Tonearm/Audio technica AT-VMN540ML, Sony TA-FB940R, Klipsch speakers.

Edited 10 months agoIs someone able to whether or not this product is real? I am very interested by it.

Edited 11 months agoGreat tracks. Very nice collection of songs. Catchy and groovy. Now about mastering. It may sound nice and dynamic. However the bass is a bit overdone. The bass should be deeper instead of boomy. Vinyl looks gorgeous. One of the better albums recently released. Much better than the Taylor Swift LP.
