*From Record Store Day Website*
A classic rub-a-dub set from the 1980s Reggae star Eek- A-Mouse (born Ripton Hylton), whose unique style of DJ-ing set him apart from the Kingston competition. Here, he is backed by the #1 studio band of the day, the mighty Roots Radics, recording at both Bob Marley's Tuff Gong studio as well as Kingston's premier hit-maker, Channel One.
Assasinator was released at the top of his long-running international career as a master Mic MC, still appearing at major European festivals. Assassinator is a major chapter and verse example of Jamaican Reggae in the analogue era. Unavailable for several decades, this limited color vinyl run is exclusive to Record Store Day 2024.

Edited 7 months agoGreat release, and finally out on vinyl after all these years! I have missed the track *Bad Friday*. I would have liked it to include the original cover and lyrics.

The Roots Radics super thick grooves combined with Mouses unique vocal stylings make for a great listen. High quality mastering and pressing kick this to a must have record in my opinion.
