My copy doesn’t have skips per se but one of the discs has manufacturing defects, some that are cosmetic and some that affect playback. There are a couple of spots with impurities that result in lighter spots that aren’t black. Then there’s a large spot that looks like a scuff across three songs but at closer inspection it only appears in the grooves and not in the silence between the tracks. Weird.

This sounds better than I expected. Beautiful concert, and Emmylou sings solo in some songs. No skips in my copy, and dead silent vinyl.

Great to have for historical purpose. The sound is not far from excellent, but listenable for what its significance represents.
The vinyl is good, no issues after a good cleaning.
Please clean all your new records, it is as important as used records. -

My records were both flat and without defects, definitely worth giving a good cleaning before playing, I didn't have the skipping issues others did but they did seem pretty dirty (and everyone needs to cool it with the crappy paper inners). Music itself is phenomenal obviously, recording itself is fairly basic but overall commendable release that I'll definitely listen to regularly. Not sure how their CS is but this isn't super limited (7500) so buy direct from Amoeba if concerned about needing replacements. They have 15% off for two days every month if you sign up for the their e-mail list you'll be notified.

it's a worthwhile release - sound is pretty good seeing as how it is from a cassette tape, nicely cleaned up by that Master of Sound - Gary Hobish. My Side 3 has a relatively bad edge warp, however, it does play through and on first listen there doesn't seem to be any wow/flutter problem, just my stylus bobbing up and down near the edge of the record. I would return, as £50 is a lot to play for a Record that is just about OK, quality wise, but of course this was a Limited Black Friday Release, imported to the UK, and the shop i bought from, Banquet Records, is now Sold Out, so i will make do.....

Edited one year ago3 people have mentioned skips - 1 on side b, 1 on side d, and 1 throughout. Just adding that I have a lock/repeating skip on side c approx 3:15 into “Sin City,” which plays through for about 5 seconds with static (not good!) when I put a weight on, even though there’s no noticeable warp. Also got mine new through the kickstarter. Otherwise I don’t have any complaints about the sound and my records appear clean & flat out of the packaging. I can’t see what might be causing the skip, but imagine it’s a pressing defect based on how it plays through?

Attention people. Don’t pay $60+ for this record. They have plenty of them at all 3 Amoeba locations. They do mail order.
