Dude joked that if he made a shit coloured record and charged even more for it that people would buy it and they actually did 😭.

Has anyone been able to compare the audio quality of this most recent repress - “otter fur brown” vs. “beloved purple” variants? Looks like they have the same matrix runout, which I assume means they were both pressed at GZ Media in the same run.
Anyone know how many of these were pressed?
Thanks! -
Some surface noise but the vinyl was flat and relatively dust free. The surface noise and some static pops makes this album feel more immersive imo. Great one to have in my collection!

I have no experience with the prior pressed-in-Taiwan releases but my copy of this new release, pressed at a new plant, has good dynamics, an acceptably quiet noise floor, and minimal ticks or pops. It's not going to wow any audiophiles, but when all I've ever listened to is digital playback of this wonderful music, finally getting the experience of spinning it on wax on my own turntable is thrilling. It was quite expensive and the preorder took a full year (not that they didn't warn us about that, mind you), but it was an exciting day when this arrived into my hands. For a reissue that all began as a seemingly-drunken series of tweets from the label founder that ranged over the course of a couple of days, it felt good to click the purchase button and flip the bird to all these secondary flippers on here.
