Edited 2 years agoIt is good for what it is: a repress of a gimmicky edition from the past. It looks good, though I wouldn't call it Gold by any stretch. Piss yellow, yes.
Soundwise... I mean it's a long album stretched on 3 sides and it sounds like one: it lacks bass at many places where it should've been an assault and never gets too high on voices. Flat, in a stoic way. Endorphinmachine, for example, sounds soooo compressed it struggles to get you there. I hope that with the next reissue scheduled for June they will master it properly for all 4 sides, and hopefully it would become a definitive one.
Pallas still knows how to properly print their records though, there's not a single noise or crackling through the whole Experience. -
Exellent pressing and amazing sound. Discs are flat and Prince Gold Experience sounds like never before. Recommended. -
This is excellent pressing by Pallas and the sound is excellent. I am was concerned, because many Prince albums I have heard did not impress me. -

very nice pressing ...was real suprised how good the sound is ...so grabb one if you can ! -
As much as I've wanted this record on Vinyl I am reminded of how much I hate Dolphin, Now and Billy Jack Bitch; whilst Prince was being astoundingly prolific at this stage, consistency was not always there hah :)

This pressing is the one to get, made with love, respecting the artist's legacy. Nothing bad to review, buy it with your eyes closed if you get the chance. -
Great album finally rereleased on vinyl! Top pressing as well. Maybe they could've put more effort into the covers but other than that it's pefrection.
