Vinyl housed in die-cut black paper, anti-static inner sleeves .
A limited edition of 500 numbered copies were available directly from Prince.com, but were otherwise identical.

Poor QC: My copy ALSO has duplicate record twos. Seems shameful considering how often this has been mentioned on this Discogs page. Maybe employees are not feeling vested in the manufacturer? Be sure and buy where you can get returns accepted. Pay with a credit card. This is a somewhat risky vinyl to purchase.

Just got this today, still on the first track (P**** Control) and it sounds great on my system. Great channel separation, clear sound, no pops or clicks. One more great addition to my growing Prince collection

I'm really surprised at how good the fidelity is on this considering it's transparent yellow vinyl. It's a little bright and crispy at times, but for the most part it sounds really good. I'm still frustrated that they put 5 remixes on side D rather than spreading the tracks out and leaving off the remixes... but this is better than not having a vinyl reissue from the estate I reckon. I give this pressing a B rating. :-)

Well it’s leagues better than the OG CD, but it’s a bit bright still. Not much in the way of mids/but material is greatly overlooked 90’s Prince and deserves more notoriety. -
My version sounds amazing. It’s so great that the estate is taking releasing these new reissues in great quality. -
The First 500 copies bought via the Estate are numbered on the sleeve not the shrink -
Amazing flat and quiet pressing. Light gold colored vinyl in black poly lined sleeves was nice. Instead of the remixes of ‘I Hate U’, other non album tracks from the time period (‘Rock & Roll Is Alive’….among others!) would’ve been MUCH better as bonus tracks on Side 4…The Replica of the original promo cover was on point. What No code ?? Oh well, I’m happy to receive this as a Birthday gift. 9.0/10 -
Edited 2 years agoIt seems the European version of this is different than the American as I have not seen European versions with discs in transparent yellow yet. What I have seen is a version with marbled yellow and one with the second disc in brown colour. From online information I also gathered that the American cover has the texture printed on instead of being actual raw cardboard like the original promo while the European version of the cover is just unprinted and raw cardboard. Fortunately my pressing is perfect.
