My copy sounds astonishingly good. Flat, quiet vinyl. Top edge seam split confirmed, however. -

Edited one year agoFinally bought this and had a quick playtest....Side 3 (tracks 1 & 2) have exceptionally loud pops and for a brand new record, fingerprints on the vinyl...Basically a shite pressing in my opinion and not worth the vinyl it was pressed on. A VERY disappointing issue indeed.A TRAVESTY!

Hey party animals ... on New Order's store page, under Joy Division, this red/wine coloured sleeve 2022 reissue 2LP is listed (for Still) but scrolling down shows a white cover/black lettering 2LP as well (but described as 'true to the original'?!) ... asking the site got me a useless response ('can't help') ... anyone know if this really exists? - Duncan (April '23)

Pressing is quite good. Packaging is remarkably cheap, essentially junk, and riddled with quality control problems. (Peter Saville deserves much better than this.) -
If I correctly, this was the only way to hear Dead Souls in the US for a long time. My copy arrived with the same top middle record sleeve damage previously described, which must have happened pre-shipment. Sounds great though. As Cheap Trick once said "You're taking me back...a long, long, long time ago."

Very noisy pressing, lots of pops, long and audible scratch pretty much all across the last track on side A. More sibilance than I'm used to as well. Also arrived with a seam split on top. Honestly I'd try to have my copy replaced if it wasn't for international shipping being such a pain to deal with.

My copy arrived fine. No damage, no issues. Sounds really good. Dead quiet pressing. Plays flawlessly. Anything with 10,000 copies pressed is bound to have some duds in the batch though.
