Beautiful balanced sound stage and excellent pressing..dead flat, no surface noise at all. But the volume is inconsistent from one track to another...straining to hear one track to be blasted out by the next. Something I didn't notice on the digital version on the same system. Having said that, I love this record. This is an incredible band that I somehow never heard of until recommended by my local record store a few months ago.

I have the same review for In Absentia 2021 reissue as well as I had the same sonic experience with both the records.
I grew up listening to this band and had the privilege to watch them live as well. It’s fair to say I know the band’s sound well.
Listening to this record is an amazing sonic experience. The drums don’t sound tiny like many modern rock records, the bass is well rounded (so happy to see how Colin Edwin’s groovy basslines are finally getting the right treatment) and the guitar stands out really well. The synth/keys sit in the mix well. The vocals are upfront and centred well. Every instrument and vocal have their own space and you can hear/feel the air between them.
The soundstage of the vinyl is audiophile grade in my humble opinion. You can hear light compression during the loud ages but that is not at all bothersome. -
cuestán más que un riñon y no pueden hacer un disco sin ondulaciones, si van a tener precios tan onerosos lo mínimo que uno esperaría que los discos estuviesen planos, si bien no suena mal, no deja de quedar una sensación de decepción..........

THIN YET AWESOME!!
At first, I was suspicious of how this was going to sound given it's only 130g (doesn't feel like it), however, after chatting to people who owned and recommended this pressing thought I'd give it a go.
Highly recommended if like me you were on the fence. Sounds amazing!

Mine has a slight warp but seems to play fine, great sound but does need turned up louder than normal.
-
Really drives the point home that weight doesn’t matter as much as the care that goes into the master and pressing. Outstanding repress. Who cares if it is a low weight pressing. Store it correctly and you are rewarded with a lifetime of great listening.

Very punchy and good dynamic sound, definitely one of the better records out there in of sound quality. However, there are a few spots with distortion and some clicks and pops as others have mentioned. So overall good, but crap QC.

An excellent sounding pressing. My records were flat, have zero surface noise, the mixing is great with a punchy bass.

My brand new copy plays flat and with zero surface noise, gatefold looks very nice, printed lyrics are clear and easy to read, overall a quality pressing in my opinion.
