I bought this edition, it says made in the USA, but the barcode shows that the recording was made in Cuba. Is that how it should be? Who knows?

A wonderful reissue. I'm glad I didn't buy this album earlier and waited for this release. It sounds incredible.

Edited 5 months agoThis is the Bob Ludwig remaster, from 2021. Overall, a very good remaster with great dynamics and a smooth sound. Pressing quality is good although the first disc on the copy I bought was a bit noisy but I expect this to go away after some thorough cleaning. Second record was spotless with very low surface noise. This is a great opportunity to have this album on vinyl without paying an arm and a leg for a 1st pressing.

Great sounding record and a Chris Bellman cut. Can’t go wrong with this one. They must have made a ton because I’m surprised you can still find this one for a reasonable price.

This sounds great, a lot of the Metallica reissues have serious issues with sound and mix but that is not present here. Dynamic and full

After listening to jazz fusion, funk and blues rock for a long time, I was craving some classic metal. I went to the record shop and found this for $30 CAD.
I have never spent my money so well on a new record than this purchase. Pressed at Pallas, flawless discs. No noise, flat and they came in poly-lined paper inner sleeves.
Artwork reproduction is 100/100. No pixilated images or poor print quality of liner notes.
Sound is amazing! It’s exceptionally well balanced in of EQ. 90s music usually has this scooped mid sound (smiley face EQ), but this remaster is not one of them.
Dynamic range is high. I cannot imagine the original pressing sounding significantly better. I am hearing details I have never heard before in the compressed streaming version. Also for the first time the bass in this album sounds sublime. Very well defined low end for a metal record.
Stereo separation is 100/100. The soundstage is wide and I never knew this record could sound this wide.
Compared to this record and quality of presentation, some modern reissues genuinely seem like a pure cash grab.
Highly recommend it! -
Received this morning, seller had it under Walmart Pallas GMBH version, but she is all black 180g and Pallas press. Seriously mind blown at the cut and mastering, even through my bottles it kicks you in the guts with percussion, no sibilance on any of the 4 sides, transparent vocals, kick tom snare and hats and guitar reproduction is amazing. Easily one of the most powerful discs i have in my collection, no regrets not getting marbles, the pressing is simply fantastic even on bottles. Just get a copy!! and forget the OG cut.
