Very surprised how great this sounds. I put it up against a Canadian Atlantic Red Label pressing and this one stands shoulder to shoulder with it. I had a different 2014 pressing of this record previously and got rid of it - sounded dull and lifeless. No such issue with this one. Bonus that it was $23.98CAD on Amazon. Vinyl is in top notch condition and in a poly lined sleeve. Hype sticker was under the plastic and on the cover - which is my only complaint. Great quality control in the factory for the wax though. I wish that happened more often. Very recommended.

Just my opinion, but my 80’s Barry Diament CD mastered from the analog tapes sounds better than this, more warmer and natural sounding. The remastered LP felt a bit flat and sterile to me in comparison. It’s not bad by any means, but I instantly regretted purchasing it and wished I had taken the time to find an older version first instead of going with the shiny new one. Maybe I should just stick with finding the 80’s CDs for the rest of the catalog. Edit: I was a little harsh on this after ing I had a bass knob on my stereo I bumped it a notch and it was more comparable. Also vinyl was very quiet and flat which is hard to find these days on new records. A great pressing, but still wishing it had that old warmth to it.

Bought a new. Excellent copy. Clear, dynamic, detailed sound. Almost dead silent. I can't compared with older pressings.

This pressing stands up very well compared to the UK Plum 1st issue, i noticed some extra little details here and there and slightly smoother sounding, great recording.

Bought brand new. Couple of skips straight out of the box track 1 side A. Dirty I guess. Sounds good. Mid range sounds very dense. Not poor or anything. Just that it is clearly a modern day job. I haven't heard earlier ones but I'd bet they feel more spacious with less of that low mid content that, it's my theory, modern day mastering tries to wow people with. But I might be wrong.

I purchased this record brand new, and I couldn't be more pleased. The sound is very good, crystal clear with no crackles, and it features excellent dynamics. Overall, I'm really happy with this copy. It's definitely not a cheap cash grab. However, I don't like that the hype sticker has been placed directly on the sleeve, as I would prefer to see the full artwork. Fortunately, it leaves no residue, so it is not a big deal for me.

Bought brand new sealed from an independent seller. Great pressing, record is flat and well centered, it sounds almost dead silent. This remaster sounds excellent, very dynamic and engaging. I didn't heard older pressings to compare, but I'm very happy with my copy. 4.7 / 5

For bands like Led Zeppelin, I prefer to collect vintage records as they have much larger soundstage and higher dynamics compared to the recent issues (i.e Jimmy Page remasters). This debut album, however, is AMAZING.

I have owned two Canadian pressings from the 70s and the first Canadian pressing and compared it with this one. This one wins in my opinion (can’t speak for UK/US vintage releases). This one “jumps out of the speaker” with my entry level setup.

The only parts where the mix gets a bit lost are the very crash heavy loud parts. You can hear a bit of clipping/harsh crash sound. While the vintage records have a more realistic sounding snare, this one is still great.

I have 1st Canadian copy (red label) and 1979 reissue, and then I picked up this copy due to my positive experience with 2014 remastered Zeppelin II. i think this 2020 copy (same mastering as 2014) sounds more than decent. Details, sound stage, top & bottom end extension are flawless, not to mention nice and quiet new vinyl. The only noticeable part slight inferior to original copy is Robert's voice. New copy is brighter less meaty & breathy, but that’s with my MC cartridge. Luckily I have other cartridges to play around. One of MM cartridge produces warmer meatier vocal so this vinyl plays perfectly. For around C$30 I think people should be very happy.

For a $25 CAD record at Indigo, this sounds stellar. I’m planning on trying to grab an early Canadian at some point, but until then this will do the trick!
