Clean, flat and cool color. Sound? Meh. It’s a 12 inch orange CD. Nothing special, but it’s not bad. The problem with running a good needle (Soundsmith) is that you get to hear the flaws and this has plenty of em. All in all though it’s fun to turn up. Just don’t overpay and you can’t go wrong

Amazing pressing, beautiful color, and such a vibrant performance from the guys! One of my favorites for sure!

Okay, so I was very sceptical with this remastered version until now. RSD 2021, flicking records on my favorite record store and I found it at a very good price (comparing to discogs and some other retail shops). Bought, listened and its sounds fantastic!!! Now, proud owner of my Insomniac 25th Anniversary edition!

My copy of this is absolutely fantastic. Sorry to hear about everyone else's problems with it. Sounds great, and the live tracks are awesome to have on vinyl. I ordered one copy of the orange, and ended up getting two of them. Only opened one though, so I have no idea if it's the black version or the orange one. Seems like Green Day had some shipping and processing issues on this one.

Edited 3 years agoI had the same issue described below... The second vinyl (the live) was orange but the first one (the album) was a black one.
I've send an e-mail to the warner records adress mentioned in the comments by some discogs s (thanks to them BTW) and they send me the replacement disc with the right color few days ago and I could keep the black one.
So in this case I must say that even they made a mistake they did a good job. -
Received my copy of the Orange 2xLP, and got two of the first LP inside, so didn’t end up getting side 3 and the etching... looks so nice though so seeing if I can somehow get my hands on the correct package without paying over retail
