great album and nice pressing. Flat discs and little to no surface noise. only issue is the gain of mix which is quite low.
-
Edited 4 months agoVery pleased with my copy of this pressing - there's plenty of low end, a very robust and vivid soundstage, and it sounds more fleshed out and less harsh than the CD. One of those records that seems to open up and come to live the louder you play it. My copy was purchased new and plays flawlessly, flat, quiet, and clean, with no surface noise of note. Good stuff.

Edited 5 months agoFabulous songs and music.
One of PJs best but unfortunately was recorded originally around 2000 and so suffers from stupid and unnecessary Dynamic Range Compression. Hence 4 stars instead of 5
If you compare this album to the 1995 recording of To Bring You My Love you will hear how music sounds with very little compression. -
Came in this week and listened for the first time this evening. Beautiful album, but unfortunately a very poor copy of this pressing. A-side is perfect, B-side has a recurring, distracting noise across the entire side that is very distracting especially during the silent ages. I'm thinking of buying a second copy hoping both sides are the same quality as the A-side of this copy.

Edited 11 months agoOne of her top 3 albums during a long creative stretch. And the vinyl reissue of this record, along with the other reissues, sounds crisp and warm. No skips or cracks right out of the sleeve. Highly recommended.
-
just incredible from start to finish.... except a skip and some clicks on you said something. oh well

Edited 2 months agoSounds great - vocals are beautiful, good separation and clarity. Pleasant listening.
A1 and A6 definitely suffers from dynamic compression.
Light surface noise here and there - nothing serious, but not the quietest vinyl.
