In 2004, when Time Warner, splitting the music activities from the Warner Bros. movie company, it was agreed that Warner Bros. Records could continue to use the Warner Bros. name and logo for 15 years. When that deal expired, Warner Bros. Records Inc. (company) / Warner Bros. Records (label / brand) were rebranded as Warner Records Inc. / Warner Records.
The first release identified as crediting the new re-branded entity is Prince - Originals (released Jun 7, 2019).
