The drums and bass on this record sound amazing. Truly one of Albini's best recordings (even according to him!). -

I was kinda worried since Splash doesn't sound the very best, but this pressing actually has great dynamics.

No issues other than some light surface noise here and there, but let’s be honest, we’re cranking this album anyway, so it doesn’t really matter. Volume sounds a little bit low at full blast too. Drums still sound pretty great. Would love to have an original pressing to compare. All in all, it’s one of my favorite albums ever, and I’m not disappointed with the purchase. -
SO many pops and clicks straight out of the shrink. Thin and flat sound. Totally regret selling my original years ago. -
Edited 3 years agoJust another Cheap GZ pressing, so 4AD can save some money. Sad since it’s a god LP that deserves better sound.

Sound could really be better on this - would love a two disc remaster so the drums could punch you in the face like on the CD.
