My second disc was warped because of the booklet. I was personally a big fan of this album though this mix suppresses the guitar on what was a guitar driven album. I’d look for an original if I can find it.

Edited 3 months agoSecond disc warped. Bought 4 copies and they were all warped. No way to avoid it with the big ass book they include. I love their dedication to presentation but the vinyl should be outside of the sleeve. Why don't they make the booklets 12 inches so there is no vinyl warp??? No static or pops. Warp does not affect playback on my RT82. 5 stars for the music.

My second disc was warped because of the booklet, the remix is not as clear as the original, lead guitars are pushed into the background for more drums and bass on what is a guitar driven album

I prefer the original press. The 2017 is just too drums forward for my taste. This is a guitar driven album and the original showcases that. Vocals are a little cleaner on the 2017 and the pressing is less noisy (original being done at Rainbo). Both are compressed so I think the comparison is a matter of taste but I lean toward the original but sadly, I don't think a great option exists.

Really warped?....hmmmm....strange....sold my first press for a bunch of indecent money after this one came out....curious about the repress (around 25,-€ back then) vs. the original (250+)....received it, opened the package and....wow....the design & booklet looking the same (probably some bean counters will find a difference)....this one (mine - repress vs. first press) plays wayout better then the original (playing with some background noise), no warps, flat and thick dynamic playing vinyl....sorry for the unlucky guys here receiving a warped RI, mine is perfect. Congrats to the friendly guy who payed me for my US first press....now it´s up to you, to pay 200,-€ and up for the forthcoming PJ Tour in Europe.....a real fanbased Band.....

Like others, my LPs are severely warped. I even sent out for a replacement but that copy was also warped.

Even my copy has the Lp 2 fucking warped!!! Goddamit!!! And it's really pity because this press finally sounds beautifully!!! It's well balanced, but the useless booklet damages the lps!

They should have packed the booklet in the middle of the gatefold not with the LPs, might have avoided some warp issues. Also if they would use poly-lined sleeves instead of crappy paper ones maybe I wouldn't encounter as much surface noise that requires a cleaning from the paper debris. As it is, the cleaning alone cannot correct a skip on track A4, so I can only surmise that it is a defective press.
As for the mix, it's just OK. Matt's drums are more punchy, Stone's guitar more prominent, and Eddie is clearer and more front-n-center but this seems to be at the cost of Mike and Jeff, as I can barely hear Mike's guitar on some tracks. It's not really an other mixes, but it's not worse either, more of side-grade in comparison.

Edited one year agoFound this at a good price, but later discovered that both records were warped. It seems to be a common issue with everyone who has picked up this 2017 reissue. Not a big deal though, I'll have them straightened out at my local record store.

Got a copy and it had one of the discs warped, so I returned it and got a replacement copy. This one also had one of the discs terribly warped, so returned it and got a refund. I am incredibly surprised that the band would basically be OK with one of their records being out in the market completely defective.
