Reviews

Excellent sounding pressing. One of my favorite pressings of all the PJ releases behind Vs. 45RPM, Yield 45RPM and Gigaton. As of writing this review, I have yet to hear Backspacer and Avocado on vinyl, so I cannot comment on how those two would compare. Riot Act is a difficult listen for the casual fan and for dedicated PJ fans. It's important to the context from which these songs were written, which were immediately follwoing the Roskilde Festival tragedy on June 30, 2000. Riot Act was released in 2002. Bear credence to those details and Riot Act becomes a fine listen.

Edited 3 months agoThis is my favorite PJ record. I disliked the theme as a kid but now living in the US listening to this I can really feel what Eddie was so mad about when Bush Jr was in office. Now Trump is in office and every word translates perfectly to him as well. Bu$hleaguer.

Sounds good, but A/B comparing with my CD I find the CD to have better punch, clarity and separation.

Are all the 2nd LP's of Riot Act warped? I am not the only one, after purchasing two different sealed copies of Riot Act, with warped vinyl on on the 2nd LP?
-
Yeah, the 2nd LP has a not insignificant warp to it. Luckily I don’t think it affects the sound. At least not enough for my ears to notice
-
-
Glad to hear I'm not the only one who has a warped record.
Agreed, this album sounds phenomenal.
Great album :)
-
Record sounds phenomenal! I dare say perfect but LP2 is warped as others have commented. Doesn’t affect play but it’s wild watching my stylus ride this one.
-
Great sounding LPs, from the opening kick-drum of 'Can't Keep' you know you are in for a treat...LP-1 is warped, but inaudibly so.
-
Just like the EU version, record #1 is warped due the thick 36 pages long booklet. A bit of a fail, I'd say. But in my case it's not affecting the play, so it's just a minor optical flaw.
