First of all-You must own this album. One of The Best Gangsta Rap Albums Of All Time, if not Thee Best. I stole it on tape in ‘88 and have owned probably double digit amounts of copies both on tape and CD since. Years later, I split a lot of Vinyl with a Friend and I chose N.W.A & The Posse as my pick of 20 albums spread across the floor. After looking in the sleeve a while later, I realized I had the First Press of Straight Outta Compton! Yeah...Nice score, right? Now alls I need is a Sleeve. Does anyone have one that they are willing to part with? &, why doesn’t Discogs offer a section or way for people to buy/sell just the Sleeve of an album? There has got to be a lot of people in the same situation as me with a lot of different albums. P.S.-No, I will not sell it

Hoping someone here can help. I just got a copy off of eBay. The run outs match up with the 1st press but the cover doesn’t have the parental advisory warning on the bottom right corner. Is that printed on or is it a sticker?

Edited 10 years agoEvery track is 5 star for me, kick starter of the golden era in hip hop. You can move to it, listen to the lyrics, Ice Cube in particular is masterful on this, perfect record.

A hip-hop/rap album any fan should have in their collection. Ice Cube Eazy E & Dr.Dre all on one album. Excellent!

I've owned both the 20th Anniversary Edition and the original pressing. The original pressing sounds FAR superior. Very clear vocals with intense detailed bass.
