It is so much better to have this on one LP than 2 and having to flip it 3 times. Great pressing too. Worth the extra money so you don't have to get up after 2-3 songs to flip the vinyl.

This First Pressing Which Is A Single LP Is Absolutely Flawless!!!
It's Funny That Even Though It Is A 1LP Pressing It Sounds A Million Times More Natural And More Balanced Than The 2LP Remaster Which Sounds Unbearably Goosed In The Bass And Compressed To Shit By Comparison. There Is A Beautiful Ebb N' Flow To The Sound On The Chronic Here Especially To The More Layered Tracks On Side 1. The Lack Of Excessive Compression Also Allows For The Little Details And Minor Samples Like On Fuck Wit Dre Day To Come Across A Lot More Clearer. An Essential Purchase For Any LP Collection, This Is History Right Here Ya Feel Me. -
The jacket graphic design inspiration originally comes from the French Zig-Zag rolling paper packaging.

(Quick Review #36)
Listen: #5
I have a whole lot of stuff to catch up on. At least 10 records I've listened to I haven't put up a review for. Now to start with The Chronic. This album is a classic, its The Chronic. While I pesonally prefer Doggystyle this is still a great record. I feel that people who say this started G-Funk didn't listen to Niggaz4Life by NWA, which had a lot of the beginings of this production style by Dre. But that doesn't make this album any worse. It's a great album to just put on and enjoy. Some filler tracks but it doesn't take away from the album too much.

Where's the 5 or better yet the 10 rating!! Absolutely one of the best breakthrough hip-hop albums ever! While most crossovers had to have the watered down mainstream hook, Dr. Dre kept it real, hard, and probably wasn't expecting this album to do as well as it did. The skits are absolutely ridiculous funny.Songs are all tight and engineered to perfection with samples from P-Funk Allstars layered with Dr. Dre's talent. The lyrics are solid from delivery to content. You can party and still hear the serious side which is a direct representation of hip hop culture.West Coast represent!!
