ELO* – Time

My copy is an excellent pressing. Very low noisefloor, really very impressive. However, this version does not 'pop' like my UK 1st press does. This version has a softer, more flat sound. Some may prefer this but if you can find a minty 1st press, go for that. Otherwise, this is a solid reissue.

Remarkably quiet vinyl with excellent sonics. More dynamic than my 1st U.S. pressing which is also in NM quality from Santa Maria.

Legacy edition is an improvement over the original, though ELO productions are generally way too busy, which makes everything sound horribly compressed. Im pretty sure Lynne took a few cues from Trevor Horn’s Age of Plastic for this album. The release would also sonically benefit from being pressed onto a 2-disc edition. The lack of an inner sleeve is lazy and including one would have not sent the label or the band broke. Apart from that, a solid reissue.

This one is underrated, though I have no other to compare but is one of my finest sounding records

NOT FUNNY JEFFREY!...ANYWAYS.. I know this album perfectly inside and out and I never get tired of it, bought a USA LP pressing when it came out, have gotten a UK LP, a Japan LP and a EU CD but, you know which one sounds best? Took me DECADES to find out...the European Chrome Cassette!!! Beautiful full Stereo sound stage which you can NOT get from an LP because of the bass collapsing into the center channel (LP limitations) and great full frequency range, oh, and some scrumptious light compression too...wish I was back in 1981...Five stars out of FOUR...we just need a MultiChannel version of it...

I have a promo version of this master sound pressing. Big sound stage and sounds really crisp without being harsh.

This is essentially a Jeff Lynne solo effort with a small amount of help from a couple guys from ELO. This was a big "pull it out and see who's is bigger" recording and, well, Mr Lynne is apparently hung like a racehorse. This album is the tits, the concept is cool. Too bad he didn't go all in and make the movie to accompany it... It still could happen.

This is so so good. I have several pressings. This is the ultimate pressing. Crystal clear, vibrant… amazing stuff . Some of the Japanese pressings are a big step above anything else. This is as good as it gets

Wow, this is a great sounding record…not harsh, fast und dynamic sound with a big soundstage. Well balanced overall - recommended!
